A taste of Maine in France.

No, not a lobster roll, although we’ve made our own here before. (I must say, for a region that loves its seafood, its butter, and its bread, it’s rather surprising that the culinary delight has not caught on here.)

After our outing in Pont-Aven, we proceeded down the tidal river to see more of the area. We visited a couple of absolutely precious port towns and V, my French-Greek man, astutely observed that the landscape (and seascape) was quite reminiscent of Maine. Though it was cool, in the mid-60s, locals were boating, sunbathing, and swimming. So apparently the people are crazy like they are in Maine, as well! A beautiful little corner of the world.
